Teaching activities
I mainly teach at Phelma, Grenoble INP's engineering school. I teach courses in:
- Heat transfer
- Microstructure and properties
- Materials characterization
- Materials processing, additive manufacturing
I also teach practical classes and materials projects. In particular, I am responsible for running the Créalab project room, located on the Phelma campus (Saint-Martin-d'Hères). This room has a wide range of tools for materials development and structural and mechanical characterization, which are used for student projects.
Research activities
My research activities focus on characterizing microstructures using electron microscopy (mainly TEM), in relation to manufacturing conditions and mechanical properties. These characterization tools are used to address metallurgical issues, which in turn helps to advance the tools and methods themselves. More specifically, my current activities concern:
• Physical metallurgy: optimization of microstructures and properties, with a particular focus on materials produced by additive manufacturing.
• Microscopy: structural characterization at the micro-nano scale using ACOM/EDX coupling.
• Microscopy: measurement of stresses at the nanometric scale applied to metallurgy.
