The SIMaP laboratory's expertise in materials and processes engineering is shared with various industrial partners, particularly in the metallurgy, energy and transport sectors such as automotive and aeronautics, microelectronics and electrical engineering, nuclear engineering, steels, and development of aluminum zirconium and titanium alloys.

Research on materials and metallurgy in Grenoble has for decades been built on strong links with industry, and has led to numerous successes in improving the performance of materials and processes.

SIMaP's long-standing experience in collaborating with companies and its quality approach (ISO 9001) guarantee effective relations that are tailored to the objectives being pursued. What's more, the support of our institutions (CNRS, Grenoble INP - UGA, Grenoble Alpes university) ensures appropriate negotiation in terms of confidentiality, intellectual property and valorization for any type of contract : expertise, research collaboration contract, CIFRE contract, joint response to a call for projects, loyalty contract, joint laboratory...

The SIMaP laboratory valorizes the results of its own research by registering patents and creating and/or incubating start-ups.
