WODIL 2024 takes place on September 18th-19th

The 13th German-French Workshop on Oxide, Dielectric and Laser single crystals will take place on September 18-19 in Grenoble

The 13th German-French Workshop on Oxide, Dielectric and Laser single crystals (WODIL 2024) is devoted to any research involving oxide, chalcogenide, or halide single crystals that are used as optical, piezoelectric, OPOs or laser materials, and as substrates for piezoelectric and oxide electronic applications. The workshop brings together scientists and scholars from industry, research labs, and universities to present and discuss the recent advances in the field of oxide crystals, dielectric materials, laser and non-linear optical crystals, solid-state lasers, and related topics (laser spectroscopy, optical index metrology, magneto-optics, etc.).

The workshop is a joint collaboration of the German Society of Crystal Growth (Deutsche Gesellschaft für Kristallwachstum und Kristallzüchtung-DGKK, AK Optische Kristalle), the CNRS networks CRISTECH (Crystal Growth Technologies) and Cmdo+ (Optical crystals and devices), and the French Committee for Crystal Growth (CFCC) under the aegis of the French Association of Crystallography (AFC).

This workshop is organized by the SIMaP laboratory at the Maison des Sciences de l’Homme -Alpes, UGA campus, Saint Martin d’Hères. Previous workshops have been organized by FEE (now EOT GmbH - Coherent) in Idar-Oberstein (2011, 2014, 2018, 2021), ISL in Saint Louis (2012, 2015), ICMCB in Pessac/Bordeaux (2017), IKZ in Berlin (2016, 2020, 2023) and ILM in Villeurbanne/Lyon (2019, 2022).

Anyone interested in the workshop topic is cordially invited to participate and to present her or his interesting scientific results in an oral presentation of about 20 minutes or in a poster presentation during the poster session. The workshop is an international event and open for researchers from all over the world. Workshop language is English. The workshop 4 oral and poster sessions will be open to students and university staff on campus in the limit of 90 seats available at the Andrée Michel amphitheater. The workshop will start on September 18th @ 1 pm, and end on September 19th @ 1 pm.

You are invited to attend the 13th German-French Workshop on Oxide, Dielectric, and Laser single crystals 2024 (WODIL). This scientific event will take place on September 18th–19th, 2024, at the Maison des Sciences de l’Homme – Alpes (MSH-Alpes, Human Sciences House) on the Grenoble Alpes University (UGA) campus, in Saint Martin d’Hères, France.

We encourage you to submit an abstract for oral communication (15 minutes plus 5 minutes for discussion), or for a poster communication at the workshop, by sending a filled two-page document in compliance with the attached template file, which will be included in the abstract book delivered at the workshop, at the following address: Matias.Velazquez@simap.grenoble-inp.fr

Deadline for attendance and for abstract notification is on August, 25th, 2024.
Registration fees: FREE
