DISLOCATIONS THROUGH A FOREST

A Frank Read source is introduced inside a population of forest dislocations. The elastic interaction stresses between the bowing loop and the forest dislocations slow down the dislocation motion.
A pile up effect is observed (up-left) : a remaining dislocation arm is unlocked when a new loop comes and pushes it out.
