3D view of the cavity for the crept 316L(N) sample obtained by using EASYTOM XL tomography with a laboratory x-ray source. Conditions are 150 kV and 66µA with pixel size 4.5 μm. Reasons for such a morphology of the cavity needs more investigation.

About the authors: Oguz is a 2nd year PhD student in the GPM2 group. His PhD, entitled "contribution to the understanding of the creep mechanisms of 316L(N) austenitic stainless steel for 60 years of operation: link microstructural evolution (precipitates, dislocations) and damage ", and Sara is a student from the second year of the Master "Material Science for Nuclear Energy" in Grenoble INP.
