Two SF2M 2018 prizes were awarded to SIMaP researchers

The Société Française de Métallurgie et des Matériaux (SF2M) awarded medals and prizes in 2018 during the Matériaux conference held from 19 to 23 November 2018 in Strasbourg. Among the winners were two members of the SIMaP laboratory.

Alexis DESCHAMPS, professor at Grenoble-INP and member of the PM group, received the David Embury Prize for Pedagogical Innovation: this prize is intended for a person who has demonstrated through his or her action a remarkable level of excellence and innovation in the teaching of science and materials engineering within a French higher education institution.

Guillaume PARRY, associate professor at Grenoble-INP and also a member of the PM group, received the Jean Morlet prize awarded to a person under 40 years of age who has made a significant contribution in the field of material behaviour modelling or that of processes leading to the development of new products or processes.
